Hi! My name is Tony Simmons sr. Thank you for visiting my website, I hope that you like what you see here. I come from a large family 6 sisters, 5 brothers. We were raised by both parents my mother was a home maker and my father was concrete finisher.

I was raised on a medium-sized farm where there was always work to do from feeding and caring for animals to planting and harvesting gardens. My father taught his sons how to finish concrete I started working in concrete at the age of 9 years of age and started to contract job of my own at the age of 17 years of age.

After I graduated from high school, I joined the Army for 2 years. After my service time I got married and then started to work in concrete, that's what I do for a living now. I have raised 7 children. I started drawing at the age of 7 years of age because I enjoyed coloring in coloring books, but I couldn't afford to buy many coloring books.

I decided that if I could draw my own pictures then I could color them or paint them and not have to buy coloring books, I practiced drawing one picture for 7 hours and drew that picture 98 times until I drew it exactly like I saw it. In 2006 I decided to educate myself about the talents of being an artist so I enrolled in a correspondence school called the Art Instruction School of Minnesota (AIS). I enrolled by entering a drawing contest that I won and it took me two years to graduate with a 3.69 average. After graduating from school, I joined a couple of local art galleries where I sold some of my art and I started to enter local craft shows where I also sold some of my art.

Being an Artist is exciting and is a great way to meet other artist and people who enjoy art, to sell my art has always been a dream of mine now Artstorefront is giving me the chance to sell my art and meet other artist and people who love and enjoy art. Art is for Humanity... Thank you!
